Blizzard has released a developer blog detailing the gear upgrade system changes coming in Patch 10.2. They are making adjustments to the length of upgrade tracks, including PvP gear in the system, eliminating extra inventory space usage, updating the crest cap, allowing trade-ups for higher-level crests, implementing crest fallbacks, and increasing item levels by 39 for the new season.
